I am currently trialling WebSense for PIX, and here are my comments:

Installation: quick and easy (on an NT 4.0 P166 80MB RAM 1.2GB HD)

Response time: great - no slowdown out between request and response (runs
as a service)

Configuration : gui... allows you not only to block sites, but observe sites

Reporting: the reporter is a separate product, but well worth it -
categories, traffic, analysis, etc.

Database: you can update the url database with your own entries. The
database is updated on a daily basis.

Customization: you can customize the screen that users get when they hit
blocked sites.

On the whole, WebSense is a very polished product. What I didn't like was
the way that WebSense blocks a site even though the blocked site is a link
on the page you are going to (the page accesses something from that link,
which is probably why it gets blocked). The database is everything with
this product. It's great that the database is updated regularly (database
has close to 800,000 url entries). This saves alot of time. However, the
categories WebSense uses for urls is all theirs. If anyone from WebSense is
listening, it would be great if you allow the creation of user categories.
Or, if they do, let me know (I have two weeks left on the trial).
