Nice Slam -

One should note that this type of response obviously comes from a person that
needs to research Trojan horses himself....
one should know the facts before he attempts to use sarcasm towards anyone that
is just asking for help.
funny you should say that b02k is not a Trojan..... as it may have some similar
features that can be related to PC anywhere
I don't see how you can make claims to the fact that it is legitimate? I find
any program that can covertly be placed on my systems to allow a unauthorized
user access to be a Trojan..... hence the word Trojan derived from the war tool
used to fool the enemy or in this case the "mark" into believing it is
something that it is not.
I guess that's why every antivirus vender helps protect against generation 1
and 2 back orifice... if you think for one minute that this is a legitimate
tool that has its place in network management then you truly are a fool and
anyone that employs you as a systems administrator should have there head
examined.. back orifice is nothing more then a hacker tool anyone that has
studied this software will tell you the same... as for credibility I have
personally face to face spoken with some of the members of cdc and they will be
the first ones to tell you that this tool is to prove the Major security flaws
in the MS operating systems if it was legit you would be paying for it....

Ironically, your email account seems to be at AltaVista--a search engine.
These are very handy at locating what you are looking for.

At any rate, http://www.bo2k.org is the home of bo2k. Oh, but before
you write your paper, note that bo2k....

** IS _NOT_ A TROJAN!!!!!!!! **

It is not a trojan horse any more than PC Anywhere is. See
http://www.hackernews.com/orig/bo2k-1.html for more info on this subject.

If you want to write about _real_ trojan horses, you'll have to look
elsewhere. Here's one definition of 'Trojan Horse', which bo2k does not
meet: http://www.whatis.com/trojanho.htm

For future reference, you should try searching for what you're looking for
first:
