Yeah, I'm not running netscreen. We were talking about DMZ in general. I
guess, Vincent just want to show me the routing table of how a firewall with
three interface looks like.
Vincent, I got confused with the routing table. The gateway ip is the same
with the interface ip. As far as I know, the untrusted interface should have
the gateway set to a neighbor like a router's lan interface. The same thing
with the design I sent earlier.
Another man here also told me that the network on my private lan should be
different from my DMZ. I agree with this. So how would I approach my
problem now, since the IP address of the webserver were hardcoded into the
webpages? Are there any other solution like retaining the IP address of the
webserver even if it's been transferred to the DMZ? Yeah, we can just edit
all the webpages and point it to a new FQDN (better I guessed :-> and not ip
address anymore) but the big problem here is that it's a private network and
deployed nationwide. That's why, I was hoping if I can retain the IP
addresses of the webserver. I hope you get my idea guys.
