IMHO /dev/null is quite good.. might you well if it is bad well how many 
would know it:-)) The one that is not connected ala MJRs historic description
is excellent since one tends not to trust any flow. 
-ok in the real world well depends "Best @ what?" taking your co money
or securing your network? One could claim any FW to be the best. Quite 
another thing to verify as there are so many factors. Speaking of FWs
it has been a while since FW1 released a linux version of 1 any using it?
Opinions vs Flames? Curious on the comparison of it vs the Solaris 
version of the product. Please keep the specific "replies" to Open Source or
NIX  as not interested in 'other' on this subject.  TIA
