Hi,

I guess it`s a rather difficult question, depending on the load you`ll have
on the server, the availability you expect from it ...
I believe the major players ( Checkpoint, Pix, Gauntlet,...) wouldn`t do all
that bad ... it all depends on what you want to do ... which products you
are familiar with and so on ...
I would personnaly give slight advantage to Gauntlet, for having just a bit
more a reputation of being secure then the checkpoint fw-1.
( Although getting decent support out of NAI can be problematic...)

Subject: Use of firewalls

Hi list

A question:
a lot of discussions are going on about the differences between firewalls.
I think that it's very important to discuss the use of the firewall

Which firewall would you recommend to protect a website?

For example: Watchguard can be very good as perimeter firewall for offices.
But to protect a site, so with a lot of incoming traffic, another firewall
would be better, especially if you want to use NAT.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Erwin
