OR...
just visit www.sunfreeware.com and get the latest packages you want.
installing all other packages then core installation brings alot of more
bogus stuff you definately don't want to have on your system.
Installing the core and then install the other packages by hand is what
I would prefer.
What's also important you may want to install these packages to your
core installation:
Below there will be a list of packages that can be installed from a 2.6, 7
or 8 distribution.
SUNWter Terminal information
SUNWlibC Sun Workshop Compilers Bundled libC
SUNWscpu Source Compatibility
SUNWtoo Programming Tools
SUNWdoc Documentation Tools
SUNWman On-Line Manual Pages
SUNWxcu4 XCU4 Utilities
Compiling programs (not recommended or de-install after finishing
configuring server)
SUNWsprot Solaris Bundled tools
SUNWhea SunOS Header Files
SUNWarc Archive Libraries
SUNWbtool CCS tools bundled with SunOS
SUNWlibm Sun WorkShop Bundled libm
These packages I always add to my core installation.. some of which I
remove
when I finished installing the server.
Hope this will help
Regards,
Brenno
