I agree with Melchior here. In today's internet environment, things have to be password protected or they will quickly be abused. I don't know what is involved in creating accounts for people on the wiki, but that is definitely something that should be done. I don't mind "nicks" so much, but somehow we need to be able to trace back to a real person or real email address. We should make it relatively easy for people to get write access to the wiki though. I assume Simon is reading this email, but I'll also ask him about this directly, since I've been working with him to setup a mirror site for the wiki so all our documentation eggs are not in one basket.
