Sorry, but there is a natural tension between "realism" and "ease of
use".  For the case of helicopters specifically, it is very tough:
real helicopters are flown (well, hovered at least) with very small
control motions keyed to the pilots sense of balance and acceleration.
PC joysticks and throttles have at most 7-8 bits of accuracy, which
isn't even close to what a real stick/collective will need.  And
needless to say, we have absolutely *no* way of approximating a
pilot's inertial sense.

Maybe the best that could be done would be for someone to write a FCS
script that helped with the stabilization and altitude mainenance for
novice pilots.  But that's clearly tuning *down* the realism setting,
not up.
