I'd always read how very bad it is to do a gear-down landing on water and the likelihood of flipping over the nose, but to see a video of it is something else... Ironically, a wheels-up landing on land in an amphibian (or on straight floats) is much less of an issue. Apparently when some Canadians take their float-planes out for the winter they just land on grass by the side of a runway on their floats. Take-off involved putting the plane on a truck and driving down the runway until rotation speed is reached - there's a video of it somewhere... -Stuart Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
