Hi there, I am new to FG and FG development. I am currently running 0.9.10-ubuntu and I have been looking at the sailplanes that can be downloaded from the website.
I have been playing with the sgs233 and created a new 120 knots airspeed instrument for the (2D) cockpit. This is original artwork from a photographic reference and should not raise copyright issues. I would like some feedback on the following: 1. airbrakes on the sgs233 seem to be on or off. Is this the case in the real plane? Should there be a more progressive control with an airbrake-angle variable? 2. I would like to build an uncompensated vario to replace the current VSI borrowed from the Cessna. What parameter should I use for that? Same as the Cessna VSI, but convert feet-per-sec into knots? 3. What other work is being done on sailplanes? I saw the bocian in CVS. I saw on the cvs that Melchior Franz is invovled with the sgs233. Melchior could you clarify to me the airbrakes vs. spoilers situation in the current sgs233? I cannot find spoilers in the .xml in the flight model. The 120 knots ASI is ready for posting to get feedback. I am thinking of putting a .zip file on my webspace with a link on the list. Is this normal practice on the list?
