Hi,

Antialiasing fonts works fine in general, but there's some odd problem
nevertheless: In most cases, the italic versions of the fonts are *not*
antialiased, while the normal and bold versions are (bold italic usually is
not either).

There are a few exceptions, such as Nimbus or Helmet, but in most other cases
(e.g. Luxi (sans/serif/mono), Vera Bitstream, ...) the problem occurs...

Odd though that this only happens with KDE (QT) programs, not with gnome (GTK)
ones...

Any hints to what might be happening here? the fonts.conf file doesn't seem to
mention anything in particular about italic...

I'm using XFree 4.4 btw

Thanks,

Hans
