Dear GAP forum, I'm wondering whether anybody has considered or implemented a version of GAP that could be run directly in a modern desktop/laptop web browser, so that people can run quick GAP commands online when working from machines that don't have the software installed.
If one wanted to create something like this, how would one go about it, and what are the challenges involved? I am aware of SAGE, which is great for many purposes, but it's quite different from GAP and it has a fairly complicated on-boarding process for somebody who just wants to run a few quick commands.
