Thanks for the quick reply! That was indeed the problem. I cleared out the old themes and installed the 1.5.0rc2 themes. I have a new problem now though.
It complains I'm missing blurr-up.png and blurr-down.png In /usr/ share/freevo/icons/themes/blurr/, I have files named up.png and down.png, but not blurr-up.png and blurr-down.png. It then crashes and gives me a bunch of errors looking like skin not found, using fallback skin skin error: can't find font info value skin error: can't find font info tagline skin error: can't find font info plot Thanks!
