Officially only RHEL3 was supported. I tried it on RHEL3, and the main
ISE program still didn't want to work (badly broken file browser, and I
couldn't figure out how to do anything useful without opening or
importing files). Impact (their JTAG or SVF generation program) worked
though. Previously I had gotten the main ISE programming working on a
Ubuntu system, but Impact depended on RHEL only binary only loadable
modules.
I figured out how to get impact working with fc3 once, I can dig that
out if its useful. It did involve kernel module compilation.
