Gnucap is participating in the Google Summer of code under the GNU project.
There is a list of suggested projects at: http://wiki.gnucap.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=gnucap:projects The highest priority projects are those that enhance interoperability. That includes a code generator for Icarus, and a file format translator system, which could provide a better interface to gschem, and post-layout simulation for PCB, and lots of other translations.
