Hmm... difficulte question. I was looking for some Tutorials and some blog posts where people write about there expierence with gschem and pcb. Maybe one point is the name of pcb.... it is similar like LaTeX... google it and you will be overhelmed with wrong results. As for kicad I did not look in detail but it seems to be more on discussion along hobbists then gschem and pcb.
