So how are we developing this desktop version of Tizen? Did we ever hear
about what Intel did with their UltraBook Tizen code Thiago?

Good question. Let's have a look at some recent reviews of Chrome
OS:

regardless, we'd need a "desktop ui" in tizen. whilst at least
enlightenment is
capable of this (and has been deconfigured to hide this, as well as
efl as
a
toolkit) it'd take a lot of work to fix up tizen to work as a
multi-windowed ui
due to a LOT of assumptions people have made about a
one-app-at-a-time
like ui.
someone has to devote the resources to this. at this time no one has.
in generally i think having a tizen "desktop ui" would be immensely
positive
for tizen.
1. it'd force the above things to be fixed and done properly.
2. it'd open up the possibility to make chromebook/netbook like
products
with
tizen
3. the biggest bonus - it'd make tizen a productivity-capable os. you
can
do
office work but more importantly you could use it as a development
rig -
develop tizen apps for tizen ON tizen (or do development work on
tizen
itself... using tizen). this is truly eating your own dog food. this
is not
something we have done to date (imho that is a real shame).
