Having gotten kde-3.1 working nicely after switching to ~86 I did another emerge sync. Ok, lets try the kdelibs & base-3.1-r1 and see what happens. (BTW, these 2 took 12hrs to compile- p3-600,512ram). Now when I boot kde3.1 I get an: error kdesktop Could not start process unable to create 10-slave: klauncher said:unknown protocol 'file'
