I have just
upgraded my PC from a PIII to a P4. I know I can use
emerge -e system and emerge -e world to rebuild the
system with the new settings from make.conf. I have done
the kernel already.
What I want to know is are there any "safe"
flags that I should add to increase overall system
performance? Right now I use none (other than
march=pentium4) and have optimisations at -O3 (or 03). I
have not had too many problems with compiling in the past one
the PIII.
Suggestions?
Thanks,
