Did you compile mozilla with gcc 3.2.x?  I presume that you are using 
phoenix-bin which is compiled with gcc 2.95.x and uses the compat series of 
libraries.  Many of the plugins do not yet work with gcc 3,2.x applications.  
You could install gcc 2.95.x and fix the mozilla emerge to use that compiler.
