Hello, I'm on Xfree 4.2.1. I've a GForce II, and I downloaded the last modules of nvidia on nvidia.fr (I used to do that before Gentoo :)) and I can't succed in using opengl. I followd the procedure and added load "glx" in my XF86Config-4.
I replace too the driver of Xfree by "nvidia". The driver seems working, but I can't use the opengl (for example I can't play raptor2 :( ). I see that while configuring : .... .... checking for pthread.h... yes checking for pthread_attr_init in -lpthread... yes checking for glBegin in -lGL... yes checking for GL/gl.h... no checking for GL/glx.h... no configure: error: *** Unable to locate working OpenGL library *** !!! ERROR: media-plugins/xmms-iris-0.11 failed. !!! Function econf, Line 273, Exitcode 1 !!! econf failed root # Therefore, the files are in /usr/X11R6/include/GL, which is linked to /usr/include/GL. Have you got an opinion about this mystery?
