Prior to upgrading portage a few days ago and merging the new configs (it also upgraded base system and a lot of other stuff) I was able to switch between CRT and LCD screens w/ the Thinkpad Fn + F7 key combination. After the upgrade, It only works when in console mode. When I'm in XFree, fn + F7 no switchy. While in XFree other fn key combinations work just fine, like fn + whatever for sleep. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's very debilitating since I'm often switching between using it as a desktop, or consoling into Sysco gear. I believe the a21m has a ATI rage mobility vid card.
One other strange problem to throw out there as long as I'm deigning to ask for help. I've had problems on both of my Gentoo systems w/ the vmware clipboard mapping back to the kde windowing environment properly. From KDE to the vmware virtual machine works, and from vmware to non kde/qt apps works swell, but vmware to kde apps is broken.
