That is not my intention and I assume is not the intention
of others. Someone asked about reiserfs, got an answer in
additon to a question about XFS stability . My intent is
to give my experience. I run ext2 and XFS on different
systems - a user needs to pick what's best for him or what
he feels comfortable about. I know ext2 works well as
does XFS so there are two alternatives if reiserfs doesn't
work out for the orginal poster.

I really hope this doesn't turn into another one of those
"xxx FS is better then ext2/3" and vice versa threads.

Can't speak for reiserfs but XFS has been solid here for
over a year and
I know people who are running a large number of business
systems
(servers, etc.) on XFS.

Well, I see about once a week someone asking about
Reiserfs and
problems.. I use ext3.. But I just can't figure out if
these are user
things or if reiserfs just that "flaky"..
