Hi,

this happens in both cases: when I set the bios to
boot from the second disk and when I disconnect the
first disk from the IDE Bus and the system boots
automatically from the second disk.
The second disk is slave on the secondary
IDE connector (i.e. /dev/hdd) after the cdrom drive.
Could this cause problems? The disks are from IBM
and WD, but i think different disks of the same size
shouldn't be a problem?

Any ideas?
Thanks!

Thomas
