Hi List I am running 2.6.1-r1-mm2 on a Gentoo 1.4 with Gnome 2.4.
I installed udev with emerge udev. When I am logged in as a normal user (into gdm) and I start a console then I just get a blinking cursor but I can not enter any commands or text (logged in as root I get the normal console). I found a post that says I must enable devfs... But I would like to use udev. Is this problem related to udev? My conclusion is that this problem must be related to udev as the post says I must have devfs. As udev replaces devfs I follow I configured udev wrong. Thanks for any help and hints.
