Hello, I have a new MSI FSR Delta (VIA_KT880) and AMD Sempron 2600+, and now after loading thermal module I do not have CPU temperature in /proc/ :-(
Question: 1. Is this an ACPI fault that my CPU is not compatible in kernel? Result from /proc/: ./proc/acpi/processor/CPU1. # v razem 0 dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 sty 11 21:54 . dr-xr-xr-x 3 root root 0 sty 11 21:54 .. -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 sty 11 21:54 info -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 sty 11 21:54 limit -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 sty 11 21:54 power -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 sty 11 21:54 throttling ./proc/acpi/processor/CPU1. # cat * processor id: 0 acpi id: 1 bus mastering control: no power management: no throttling control: no limit interface: no <not supported> active state: C1 default state: C1 max_cstate: C3 bus master activity: 00000000 states: *C1: promotion[--] demotion[--] latency[000] usage[00000000] C2: <not supported> C3: <not supported> <not supported> ./proc/acpi/processor/CPU1. # uname -a Linux uran 2.6.10-gentoo-r3 #2 Sat Jan 8 20:12:30 CET 2005 i686 AMD Sempron(tm) 2600+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux ./proc/acpi/processor/CPU1. # lspci 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 0269 0000:00:00.1 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 1269 0000:00:00.2 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 2269 0000:00:00.3 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 3269 0000:00:00.4 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 4269 0000:00:00.7 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.: Unknown device 7269 0000:00:01.0 PCI bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc.
