I will be making a release this afternoon for Geotools 8.0-RC2 after the cite
test passes. Hope this will give ample warning to everyone. Please raise any

I believe there is no documentation for the new approach, but afaik it's pretty
similar to the GeoServer ones,
the scripts do pretty much the same things (minus the creation of installers):

To make the release on GeoServer I already have access to Hudson. Right now I
will require access to JIRA and Sourceforge.
Just made yo release manager in GeoTools on sourceforge. For Jira I don't know,
I am admin but it seems the permissions there
are managed via roles, and don't know how to assign you a role...
