FYI,
http://hardware.slashdot.org/hardware/06/09/25/1537221.shtml
discusses the Jelbert GeoTagger from www.geotagger.co.uk
It costs £149 (UK pounds), snaps onto a camera hotshoe and
records magnetic direction, plus when a GPS is connected,
lat/long and time.
The GPS receiver, must be purchased separately.
The http://www.garmin.com/products/geko301/ GPS is recommended.
Data format is stored in SD FLASH cards in JTR format
(ASCII NMEI-like) which must be manually correlated to the
time the photo times.
I think the discussion is also suitable for talking about
geotagging projects too.
