This below openlayers mars map is pretty cool...  As a side-effect WMS
providers are going to be forced to start caching their query results...

Great suggestions all - this was why I posted the problems to the list. :)

I used Adam Hill's Links & Chris Schmidt's examples (and the dev OL)
to update the Mars map:
