Hi Folks,
The CVS repository is being branched for 4.06 as I type this mail. In a day
or two, after final testing and any last-minute tweaks, we'll call it 4.06
and crank the release handle once more.
We're fairly optimistic about this release: there have been some performance
improvements and the usual truckload of bugfixes, the new library
reorganisation is a step in the right direction, and the docs are all
converted to DocBook format now.
Anyone that wants to try the current release candidate, there's a source
snapshot here:
