The thought occurred to me, but I'm not sure we would have enough people to
really justify this. Having a single person doing the phoning also makes
things considerably simpler (Airplane Rule).

I get the same phone rate anywhere in New England on my cell phone, so
that's not a problem for me.

There is that, too. :-)

When I am in the office, I generally hear my workstation beep.
But when I'm in Salisbury, Quincy, Boston, Framingham, and Hudson (yes, all
on the same day, Boston twice actually, this is why I was in a bad mood) all
day long, and drive right to Nashua afterwards, I don't have that opportunity.

Those of us that were there did have some fun swapping war stories and
drinking their beverage of choice before we finally found out from the
waitstaff that the meeting was canceled.
This is as much Martha's fault as anybody's; the first waitperson I talked
to didn't know anything about a reservation for "Linux" or "Jerry Kubeck",
canceled or not.

As has been said before: Aren't we just a bunch of drinkers with a computer
problem? ;-)
