Hi everyone,
Greetings & Compliments of the Season.

Being on the Noise Pollution (citizen's) committee constituted by the High Court of Bombay at Goa, we have consistently opposed this festival. The reasons being many, but the main being that the entire residential areas surrounding the festival venue is held at ransom with heavy NOISE POLLUTION. The other reasons being: drugs freely circulated (a Bangalore girl fell dead on the last occasion from overdose). Poorly managed with policing missing; No clearance of garbage after the festival by the organizers, etc etc.

This time over, the licensing authority has been shifted to the Home Ministry from the normal authority which is the Collector. This amply shows that money rules and as long as this angle is met, anything goes.

The conscious citizens of Goa have no problem with music festivals as long as they are conducted in a well organized manner with the authority keeping an eye on what is happening.

Rupees 10,000/- per ticket is something that is beyond the purse of music loving middle class Goans. Therefore, the question is: Who is it meant for?

Cheers
