I don't particularly think that GScreenOverlay warrants its own section in
overlays.html, as it mostly exists only for parity with KML. I generally
recommend GControl as the preferred way of achieving a static DIV/IMG placed
over the map.
The case of a crosshair that has clickable markers underneath it is
non-obvious - perhaps a GControl with a "+" text inside of it would work as
well?
