They do in fact exist and are just as inexpensive as a DVD player coded
for a specific region.  My suggestion would be to go to B&H...

KR_Multi_Region_DVD.html#.  Though if you're planning on buying a new
DVD player, I'd spend a little more and go with a region-free Blu-Ray
player.  They're not catching on *that* quickly, but they will
eventually catch on and it doesn't hurt to have the ability to play the
latest technology.
