We have now had a successful HFDS build/test run on jenkins

https://builds.apache.org/view/H-L/view/Hadoop/job/Hadoop-Hdfs-trunk/1970/

what does that mean? It means if a build fails it is now due to one of
-an unreliable test that fails intermittently
-concurrency problem with a hadoop build on the same host
-somebody broke the build.

There are some jittery tests —it'd be good if some people sat down and made
them go away, so that morning Jenkins build failures should be rare and a
sign of problems.

HDFS runs on Java 8 are also working; javadoc has been disabled for now
