bq. Name node already has a list of all the corrupt/missing/underreplicated 
blocks. 

Fsck is useful when Namenode is misbehaving, like not replicating blocks, not 
deleting over-replicated blocks, etc. 
In those cases, Namenode's state is usually out of sync and not that useful.
