I'm in Indiana. Here, it is up to the city. We dump all of ours down the drain and supposedly the city has ok'd that. They say that our hospital is big enough that all of the water used here will dilute the formalin enough to make it ok. However I had heard, back when I was in school that formalin kills the beneficial bacteria they use at water treatment plants. So I'm opposed to putting it down the drain. . . yet, that's how we do it here. Bryan
