I am told that in 2015 there are no longer G codes for medicare patient billing of IHC stains. That is great. However the gentleman I talked to also said that now for medicare patients there is only one G code for prostate biopsies. G0461 to be used no matter how many of the biopsies procured. I tried to google this to make sure he was correct. What I found was that non medicare prostate biopsies continue to be billed 88305 but an 88305 is not to be used for a medicare patient with a prostate biopsy. Is this everyone else's understanding?
