Bill, If the customer has VM:Backup (not HiDRO), that *is* one of the VM:Manger products!
Does the customer have the VMRMAINT UserID defined? If so, that is where you will find these utilities. You may have to re-mount the VM:Manager installation tape and indicate that you want to install the DASD Utilities and AIC features if the customer hasn't already done that. (Again, the most current version has [correctected] support for "n-END" defined MDISKs ... this has been problematic in the past.) If it looks like your customer falls into the above category ... just call Fran or Kitty at CA's VM Support ... they will assist you with any questions or details.
