David, Ian probably did that from a non-classD user, where Q DASD
becomes Q V Dasd.

Ian, perfectly normal.  The CMS 190 disk is recomped and the extra 7
cylinders hold the CPS IPL code for use when you have to IPL 190 instead
of IPL CMS, such as when you are [re-]saving CMS.  Do HELP CMS FORMAT
and see the RECOMP option.
