SET VTOD will change the virtual machine's TOD clock offset if you let it through directory OPTION TODENABLE. Some guest OS use the TOD clock. Most of those will also have their own way to change the "hardware" clock based on operator input, and that itself also sets the TOD offset. CMS however uses the CP time mostly, so the trick does not do it for CMS. Rob
