Eh?  MONWRITE is a tool for collecting raw monitor data.  It was not, 
perhaps, accepted 20 years ago as a good way to MANAGE your raw 
performance data.  That hasn't changed.  What is there to "mis-collect" in 
a tool that is supposed to write to disk every monitor record the system 
generates?
