On Mac OS X's Disk Utility there are Secure Erase Options and under a 7-Pass
Erase it says that it "meets the US Department of Defense 5220-22 M standard
for securely erasing magnetic media." There is also a 35-Pass Erase option
with no standard attached to it. I always wondered why is it there...
Hmmm... But let me get a calculator to find out how long would that take...
Umm, no, I'll need a calendar.
A 10mm drill bit cuts through the plates like a butter. 10 seconds tops.
Easy to verify too. They can look through my data now!

I guess a bullet would be ever faster, but a bit harder to implement on
site. Collateral damage might not be acceptable to the neighbours. And it's
a piece of technology after all - drilling it is like an euthanasia...

When is Friday???
