Hi guys. On the eMac (2005) page, it says there was a special 1ghz version with no modem, and a CD or no optical drive. Well, I went to pick some up last week, and I got 2 that are 1.25ghz with no modems, and CD drives. I ran the serial number through apple, and they report it is defiantly a eMac (2005) and not the earlier generation. The last 3 digits of the serial number coincide with the ones for the eMac (2005) they list on their KB article about identifying the eMac.
This may just be a eMac (USB 2.0) model with updated SN and sold in 2005 (maybe after they took it away from GP). However, once I get the display working again, I will see if it has 32 or 64mb of VRAM, and if it's a radeon 9200 or a radeon 9600. Also, this one has a 40gb hard drive instead of the 80, 120, or 160gb versions. It even says so on the ID label. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to Low End Mac's iMac List, a group for those using G3, G4, G5, and Intel Core iMacs as well as Apple eMacs.
