Oh, I've got a few of those stripes (blue and yellow) in my Core Duo
iMac. They appeared a while ago... probably a bad contact with the
display connector, or a screen defect. Either way, the solution is
replacing the entire screen, which is pricey (and my iMac is out of
warranty). I ended up buying a 22'' HP external display, and using
that as my main display.
