Now there's a question I CAN answer =) Anything under 100 feet will do you well in the mysteies of the Ethernet cable. (I think it can be up to 135 feet, but memory fails me when it is something i haven't learned yet) from personal expierence, i've used an 80 foot cable to connect the printer I had to the router in another part of the house, since I didn't want a second router, and that way the printer was next to the door, where I could always see what papers I might forget whilst leaving for school.
