and off topic anyone know the Right Encoding/codecs to play videos on
the 400/600mhz imacs? as they'll do DVD-Video Just fine.
Perian plus Flip4Mac WMV and Flash will provide the basic codecs.
Or use VLC - it has built-in codecs.
DVD-Video is MPEG-2, easy to decode. But you're always going to have
difficulties with Flash and the various forms of MPEG-4 (divx, xvid,
x264), on that Mac. Those formats are quite cpu intensive to decode.
...There have been quite a few threads on the various LEM lists
regarding the multimedia formats. You really should search the
groups for details.
