Hello, I got this late 2005 iMac G5 w/ iSight that suffers from "jet engine" fans noise (unless it's in "Reduced" CPU mode). Opened it, got rid of dust and dirt that remained inside. Since then the iMac got better, doesnt go to sleep while running cpu hungry processes, but noticed that its GPU temp is over 80 degreees Celsius (=176 F !) when handling ordinary tasks like web browsing. Do you think it's worth to put some silver thermal paste between GPU and heatsink? I am asking because according to my research these iMacs used to suffer from GPU problem that would require reballing. Fiddling with GPU heatsink might cause a loss of pressure and start those issues. Michael
