I do not understand what you are saying. We all (99%) send from our local computers to a remove server based on the information you put in the  pop incoming and outgoing mail server information in your local email client.

Hopefully broadcasting details such as this will not give me any problems but I have a fully configured DNS record:

I do not get a choice in how I set up my local email program or how it broadcasts the two IP addresses I find in my logs. My local router determines the second IP address and the first is based on my DLS connection static IP.

I am having him run some more blind tests with very little content in the email directed at the recipients as he can send mail to other AOL accounts.

Based on the log file below, I also had no trouble sending to this aol person:
