Hi,

Your system maybe panicking after the hang, but it usually happens so fast that it looks like the system reset.

Try booting with -kv (not -kdv). The system will fall into kmdb when it panics.
If the keyboard doesn't work in kmdb, try using a USB keyboard.
Also, did you change any BIOS settings ?

My desktop box works very well with snv_122, and has had no problems with
earlier releases. However, I am unable to boot snv_123 (snv_122 also failed,
but I blew away that BE and have no detailed diagnostics for it, though I
suspect it is the same problem, the boot stuck in the same place).

Booting to snv_123 with -v shows:

truncated the 2nd and 3rd lines, as they seemed irrelevant.]

Then the boot hangs, and a few minutes later the system will reboot.

I attempted to invoke the debugger with -kdv, but once the boot starts and the
debugger throws up a prompt:

Welcome to kmdb
Loaded modules: [ unix krtld genunix ]
[0]>

At this point the (ps2/aux) keyboard is unresponsive.

Any help getting snv_123 working would be appreciated.

Below is the output of prtdiag, and prtconf, in case it helps.

Thank you,
Charles
